Rice Technical Meeting in Valencia

Wednesday 09/02/2016 EDYPRO biotechnology held a technical workshop with the participation of rice farmers in the area of Valencia who have applied biotechnology products for rice during this campaign, through Project PAAP (Rice Production in Precision Agriculture), in order to see various treated fields together.

We have made a route through the fields of Masanassa, Sollana, Romany, Cullera, Sueca, etc., and farmers exchanged views and knowledge of each on the cultivation of rice, the evolution of each of their plots, the problems they have crossed, the products applied, varieties of each and every question that has arisen.

In all visited and treated with biotechnological products of EDYPRO plots, farmers have seen the good state of the plots, the good performance and good colour of the rice plants. In all of them the plants were strong with large panicles. Some of the rice fields had been in adverse situations compared to others, and now, after the treatments with EDYPRO´s products, look better than the rest. Due to abuse of herbicides the root system of plants has been punished excessively thus significantly reducing the number of tillers per plant. However the plots treated with our products have far exceeded this difficulty by applying EDYFRUIT ARROZ with the 1^st  herbicide pass.

The plot of variety Sirio CL treated with ROOT RICE, EDYFRUIT ARROZ and COUPE REGENERACIÓN Plus. It was a plot with a problem of its soil. Since the first applications of ROOT RICE and COUPE REGENERACION Plus we started to see improvements and after the subsequent application of EDYFRUIT ARROZ, the plot has a better appearance than the control. The panicles have a good density and a good size.

Rice field with variety Bomba treated with ROOT RICE, EDYFRUIT ARROZ and PODIUM ARROZ. The owner of this plot tells us that from the first applications, the field has a good and quick emergence. The plot did not have good conditions before and now is the best with a fast and good germination and high plant density. With the applications of PODIUM ARROZ and the strength of the plant, Pyricularia is controlled.

The plot of rice Fonsa treated with ROOT RICE and EDYFRUIT ARROZ. The farmer tells that before applying the products, this plot was worse than the next one. After the applications, it presents a better look, with larger leaves and large uniform panicles.

The plot of rice Bomba treated with ROOT RICE and EDYFRUIT ARROZ. Before the applications it was worse than the next plot, and after the application of EDYFRUIT ARROZ has better appearance; wider leaves and more tillers  per plant are observed. The farmers find it very good.

The plot of rice Sirio CL treated with ROOT RICE and EDYFRUIT ARROZ. The owner of the plot says that the plot is “very clean” and healthy, that with the application of EDYFRUIT ARROZ has made the plants stronger.

Farmers assistants prove that the plots have healthy plants with large panicles. The plot treated with ROOT RICE and EDYFRUIT ARROZ has higher levels of chlorophyll that treated only with ROOT RICE.

The plot of rice J.Sendra treated with ROOT RICE and EDYFRUIT ARROZ. The owner of the plot tells us that the growth has been very fast and the plants are very healthy despite having Pyricularia.

The rice field of variety Albufera treated with ROOT RICE, EDYFRUIT ARROZ and PODIUM ARROZ. The farmer tells us that many people seeing the appearance of the plot have been interested in it, and that its evolution has been very good from the beginning. He has controlled very well the problem of Pyricularia and believes that the plot will give a good harvest.
